She never gives me privacy
I lock the door and still she sees
The pain I hold inside of me
I’ve been violated! —I am not at ease
There’s nothing I’ve done that I should hide
Mainly read, study, and analyze
abide by her “rules” and merely socialize
What do you want me to do?
Sit back and sigh…..
While you yell at me and criticize
Or curse at me to make me cry
Sorry….but this is will never be
Because I now own those Private Keys!
I’m about 19 now, soon to be 20
And in the future I will me working hard making my own money,
But as for now I want you to see

| Broadcasters launch PPM ad campaign. In an effort to take their argument directly to the radio industry, Cox Radio and Inner City Broadcasting today debuts a multimedia ad campaign detailing their opposition to rolling out PPM without Media Rating Council accreditation. Cox Radio CEO Bob Neil tells Inside Radio “We know we are coming up on a decision point on the rollout. We felt we needed to make the case in more detail than we’ve been able to in a news story. We wanted people to understand we’re for electronic measurement, but because of the continuing problems we’ve seen from Arbitron, we need the comfort of accreditation before this rollout continues.” Neil wants Arbitron to delay PPM expansion until the MRC accredits the methodology that’s being used everywhere except Houston. He feels Arbitron should also be held to an 85% target, adding “70% is failure on any grading scale, yet they tout that as success.” The decision to launch the ad campaign followed a third glitch in Houston ratings and statements by Beasley COO Bruce Beasley that he’d “not want broadcasters to go through what we’re going through now in Philadelphia.” Believing there’s more agreement for their position, Neil hopes the ad will encourage others to step forward. Inner City president/COO Charles Warfield was traveling and could not be reached for comment. Other broadcast groups were approached, and while they support accreditation before rollout, they’re opting to push Arbitron behind the scenes. The ad campaign is set to continue, although there’s no word on how many ads are planned or where they’ll run. |
