Bey’s new track “If I Were A Boy” was indeed stolen from recording artist BC Jean, better known as Britney Carlson. According to copyright and ASCAP registry, the song was only performed by BC Jean. The writing credits are given to both a Tobias Gad and Britney Carlson.
Allegedly, Beyonce’s camp didn’t even pay BC Jean for the track or all the licenses for it, but oddly enough paid off Tobias Gad to keep quiet about basically jacking the hit song! This story looks like it will be developing for a while so stay tuned……
