On Friday, August 12th the much anticipated album by Jay-Z and Kanye West officially dropped on CD ”Watch The Throne” and it felt like all hysteria broke loose! Or at least the true Jiggaheads and Yeezy fans came out to play! I have my own critique as well as deets on Jay & Bey’s visit to Soho in honor of the album with their celeb friends!
These are my TOP 5 FAVS off the album …absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE(and in this order..lol):
1) MURDER TO EXCELLENCE
2) ‘OTIS’
3) NO CHURCH IN THE WILD
4) NEW DAY
5) GOTTA HAVE IT
I am entirely “pro Watch The Throne” status but not on the obsessed level! LOL ..there were and will always be songs on any album that I am just NOT feeling, but for the most part the album gets a solid 8.5 out of 10 from me! That’s pretty good!!!! Definitely on my list of one of the best albums of 2011! What do you think? Don’t hold back …from praise to harsh criticism, what did you really think about “Watch The Throne” and its hype around it? ….
….Speaking of hype…Jay, Bey & friends definitely created some in Soho Friday evening when they hit up the Watch The Thrown pop up store! People of course went crazy for Queen Bey while Jay chilled inside with the homie Memphis Bleek and Swizzy! Peep the video and pics below!
