I cannot stress enough just how awesome this concert was!  Definitely one of the top 5 in the best concerts I have ever been to!!!! 

Hip-hop fans came out like roaches and ants for this year’s Rock The Bells Festival, the biggest and the only relevant annual Hip Hop concert of the summer!!!

On the main stage, Black Star gave a stellar performance of their 1998 album , Cypress Hill got west coast on us with Black Sunday— was even kind of disappointed the crowd was more hype or “full” to capacity with these dudes!!?! Erykah Badu did the DAMN THING with Baduizm, she probably had the biggest turnout next to Mobb Deep, Slaughterhouse and NAS sets!! Lauryn Hill gave us Hip Hop 101 with The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill in its entirety, but fell short as far as what I expected from her–she was plain ole spacey, not the same Lauryn I knew and loved . Nas closed the show with Illmatic, arguably one of the most influential Hip Hop album of the 90′s<———OMG!!!! HE MADE MY WORLD that much livable! hahahahahah! **God Bless N*A*S*I*R **

The 36 Chambers stage was simply ILL!!!!  clearly showing hip hop fans where its at as far as East Coast rap is concerned. From GZA doing Liquid Swords to Mobb Deep killing it with The Infamous….I almost fainted watching Mobb Deep!  The crowd was in a trance! NO LIE! the OGs had fans running back and forth from this platform to the main stage. The Paid Dues stage had dope freshness from Freddie Gibbs, Fashawn, Blu and DJ Exile, who were among the many MCs to rep for the new era of hip-hop.

It’s official, despite the ”eh- ness” (and I do mean REAL REGULAR!!!) of Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne still managed to break Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne iTunes record and is predicted to sell 850,000 copies in the first week….want to know JUST HOW MUCH was really moved? Read it and weep Jay-Z!

Not only did Tha Carter IV set a new record for iTunes with a final number of 345,000 downloads, but he is now the highest selling male artist since he dropped Tha Carter III. 

Despite being leaked four days prior to its release, Tha Carter IV still managed to go almost platinum in the first week. 

Tha Carter IV fell short of topping his previous album Tha Carter III, which sold 1,005,545 in the first week.

As an artist, I let my words get the best of me. Sometimes there are things that we feel, things that we want to express, and when we put them on paper and speak them out loud, they can come out wrong. When I expressed my frustration with the US Army, not only did my words come out wrong, I was wrong to even speak them. So, I write this to give my sincerest apology to all members of the United States military services, as well as their families that were offended by my most recent lyrics.

As a young man who grew up in the post-9/11 era, I have watched our country fight two wars that seem like they are never going to end. I have seen thousands and thousands of our brave men and women get killed in battle and often times, I think for what? A lot of people in this country are struggling to make ends meet and I think a lot about what if we had never gone to war. Where would our economy be? Our schools, our after-school and work programs, our streets? I mean, damn, 48 people got shot in New York City just this past weekend … in 3 days … I’m not saying that it is just because of a bad economy, but at a certain point we have to take care of our own people.

In no way would I ever want to offend those who are protecting our freedoms … a lot of homeboys who I grew up with, a lot of people who come from the neighborhoods we live in … In no way do I want to hurt any of our honorable soldiers who put their lives at risk, regardless of how they feel about the two wars we fight in. I am just frustrated that we haven’t been able to bring you all home quick enough and my frustration got the best of me. I am deeply sorry.

Pregnant Beyonce has celebrated her 30^th birthday on Sunday, September 4th (her actual bday) with her husband Jay-Z and they were spotted enjoying their romantic dinner date in Venice, Italy.

Beyonce was spotted for the first time, since she has announced about her pregnancy and flaunted her baby bump at MTV Music Video Awards 2011, last Sunday. She looked very happy, as Jay-Z was by her side. She sported a maxi gown with gold embroidered halter straps, while Jay wore a plain white shirt and denims with white trainers, during their romantic dinner date in the romantic city of Venice.

So here’s the original story:

Teyana Taylor‘s shooting a new movie (pictured on set below) called Gang of Roses 2 co-starring of all people Amber Rose, her man Wiz Khalifa, and a few other folks that are about as relevant as a $2 bill. LOL

According to the director, Jean-Claude La Marre, Teyana attacked him and started swinging  and ended up getting pushed and literally scrapping on the set causing clothes to be torn, face bloody and the whole nine!  However, La Marre says he was just defending himself. 

TMZ reports what La Marre says went down:  HIS SIDE….

Teyana and the director — Jean-Claude La Marre — were filming “Gang of Roses 2″ last weekend outside L.A. … when Teyana asked to be taken home because the pain was just too much to bear.

According to 20-year-old Teyana, she asked multiple times to be taken home by car service — and when La Marre continually refused to allow that … she got in his face and started shouting. Teyana claims La Marre shouted back, “Don’t f**king scream at me bitch” … and pushed her in the face, hitting her aching tooth.

La Marre claims he only defended himself … AFTER Teyana “jumped on me and began swinging” — but says he never hit her.

Whoever started it … we’re told several crew members had to separate them. Teyana says during the scrap her shirt was torn open (above), she got popped in the nose and mouth — and the blood ended up on her denim shorts.

Teyana’s people say they are considering legal action. La Marre says the only reason he didn’t file charges is because “she’s 20 years old and I’m 40 … kids lash out.”

Teyana spoke out herself today and gave a detailed recount of what really went down on the set when the brawl took place.  She told the popular website Global Grind that he did not have hair and makeup sevices for them, a barely-there trailer, it was unprofessional, and he didn’t care about her well-being: HER SIDE

Honestly at this point you know how when you’re just tired of all the drama, I’m just so over it and what that story (TMZ) sounds like, honestly it sounds like he was trying to promote his movie, that’s all that is. At the end of the day you don’t put your hands on any female, it was very unprofessional. That whole environment was very unprofessional, very inappropriate. It was just things that my eyes shouldn’t have seen. For him to put his hands on me was really hurtful. I don’t have a dad, I never had a dad and I ain’t about to have one today. I have never had a man raise his hand at me. It’s very emotional for me, it’s a very sensitive subject and at the end of the day, right is right and wrong is wrong. You never put your hands on a female. Period.

When I came on set there was no food, there was no hair stylist, no make-up and the trailer was the size of my tub. I had to get my agent and my mom, who is my manager, involved and then we started getting hair and make up, but that only lasted for one day. He was just mad because I came in there and he felt that I was about my business and he didn’t like that and it felt like he already had a grudge against me. I was really supposed to only film for five days. The day me and him got into that altercation, that was day seven. Out of the kindness of my heart I came to do extra scenes for him so he would have an ending to his movie.

On that day, my face was very, very swollen because of a problem with my tooth. That tooth thing was no joke. I could’ve died right there on set and he wouldn’t have even cared. That’s the point because he was more worried about himself. It was about him wanting to get his movie done so it was like, forget her tooth, her face is swollen but I want her to film more parts and I really don’t care if her face is swollen. He didn’t care and it took him to ignore my illness more than three times for me to finally raise my voice. I walked up to him and I was like — I walked to him crying, like my tooth is really hurting, my face is getting worse, I really have to go and he was like “Yeah okay … whatever…” He turned around and kept going about his business. So I raised my tone and I said look, I can’t wait a minute, I can’t wait two minutes, I can’t wait a second, I really, really need to go. He turned around and he said ‘Don’t f*cking scream at me b*tch’ and smacked his hand across my face and from there I defended myself.

Here’s the skinny on this director dude:

The director who working on Gang of Roses 2, is known int he industry for his shady behavior with young girls and moeny.  Here’s a tip that was sent in to us today–we can’t personally confirm or deny.  But this is an insider’s take on the alleged person Lammare is:

Ask your Black actress friends about Jeanclaude Lamarre. He is known for sh*tty straight to dvd movies, but NOTORIOUS in Hollywood for sleeping with young girls and promising them roles in movies, even though he is married with 2 small children. He has gotten into a fight before on a David E. Talbert production years ago in NY. He his a FEMALE co-star. Even in college he was notorious for fighting and stealing money from his school. Here is the NY Times article about him swindling money from CUNY.  If you have any Black actress friends that you are close to, ask them about this guy. I was not on that set, but I am willing to bet money this dude hit her first. In fact the producer on that roses movie is 22 and has been one of his many sidechicks for YEARS. And I don’t wish to have my email address known, for fear of retaliation from this guy. You have no idea!

There is just way too much going on in this story …if Teyana is being a hoodrat, she needs to stop and just be grateful that someone…ANYONE put her in a movie, but if the rumors about this Lamarre dude is true, legal action needs to be taken and he needs not be making films and putting D-F-list actors on!  To be continued I guess….I am sure more updates are to follow!
