Etta James has lashed out at Beyonce weeks after Beyonce sang James’ classic “At Last” for the Obamas’ first dance at the inauguration.
At a concert in Seattle last week, James told the crowd, “I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she gonna get her ass whupped,” sarcastically calling her “The great Beyoncé.”
And she went on.
“I can’t stand Beyoncé… [she] had no business … singing my song that I been singing forever.”
She even slammed the President himself. “You know your President, right? You know the one with the big ears? He ain’t my President.”
James was unable to attend the inauguration for health reasons.
Beyonce actually played James in “Cadillac Records,” which came out in December. The above photo is from the film’s premiere.

James tells The New York Daily News that she is backtracking on her criticisms of Beyonce and President Obama late Thursday. She goes on to say…..
“I didn’t really mean anything,” James said. “Even as a little child, I’ve always had that comedian kind of attitude. … That’s probably what went into it.”
Still, James acknowledged being miffed she wasn’t invited to perform her signature song for Obama’s first dance with his wife on inauguration night.James said she was “feeling left out of something that was basically mine, that I had done every time you look around.”

A statement from the network reads: “MTV News has gathered journalists and industry professionals – as well as an in-studio audience of young fans – to provide insight and commentary about what the incident means for both artists’ careers and lives, and society in general.” The special airs Monday, February 16th at 6PM. Artists close to both entertainers have reacted to the rumors including singer John Legend.
“I know both of them. Early reports claimed the alleged fight was over British singer Leona Lewis, however, her spokeswoman Sarah Weinstein has denied these claims.
“Leona was seated with her family and long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa at a table near Rihanna and Chris at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party,” she said. “Chris was introduced to Leona by Rihanna. She said something like ‘hello’ and they chatted for a couple of minutes. Leona … had nothing whatsoever to do with any argument that may have ensued between Chris and Rihanna…Any allegations that the pair had flirted are completely false.” (ABC News)
Brown has reportedly been speaking with his family to plan out his next move.
An unnamed source claims Brown told his family and friends that he and Rihanna have “officially broken up”. Brown does not think Rihanna will seek charges against him and that he will NOT go to jail. Instead, Brown thinks he’ll face fines.

Kanye West was arrested in the U.K. early Friday morning after allegedly assaulting a paparazzo!
The incident allegedly took place as the rapper left Tup Tup, a nightclub in Newcastle, at 1:10 in the morning.
Photog Terry Blackburn claims he suffered a cut face and bruising after Kanye pushed his camera into his face and shouted: “Get the fucking camera off him.”
The rapper was arrested three hours later at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead and released without charge.
Is it really that serious Kanye? I mean you know you’re a star so you should expect the papparazzi around you at all times!!!! Just get a restraining order or something…I thought you were arrested for something serious…Goshhhhhhhhhhhhh with your Chi-town temper tantrum ASS!

Anyways, according to an official TMZ photography, here is what really went down:
Erik says he was at Terminal 4 (American Airlines) when he noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. Erik says West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, “Police, help!” Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces.
Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye’s body guard walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, “Give me the camera, give me the camera.” Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground.
Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant..
This is where it gets crazy. The cops asked Erik if he videotaped the incident and Erik said he had. That’s when Kanye lunged toward him and said, “Give me the fu***ng videotape.” Cops had to restrain Kanye as he tried coming at Erik.
