As many as one million people were expected to line the financial district’s Canyon of Heroes for the N.Y. Giants Super Bowl Victory Parade.
The parade kicked off at Battery Place and Washington Street and continued northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. The parade was to be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, at which Mayor Michael Bloomberg was to present the New York Giants with Keys to the City.
The Giants were showered with at least 30 tons of manufactured confetti from skyscrapers lining Broadway.
On Monday, 250 fans nabbed pairs of tickets to the festivities at City Hall. About 50,000 people entered sweepstakes for a place at the ceremony. The sidewalks lining Tuesday’s ticker-tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes were packed. A large screen was set up near City Hall Park for members of the public to watch the official ceremony.
The last ticker-tape parade through New York was in Nov. 2009 after the New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games for their 27th World Series title.

The New York Giants reclaimed the greatest prize in North American sports with a nail-biting 21-17 Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Inspired by their dynamic quarterback Eli Manning, the Giants erased an eight-point third-quarter deficit to steal the victory with a last-minute touchdown from Ahmad Bradshaw in a stunning repeat of their last Super Bowl win, also against the Patriots, four years ago.
“The greatest feeling in professional sports is to win the Super Bowl,” said New York’s Tom Coughlin, who at 65 became the oldest National Football League coach to win a Super Bowl. “What a wonderful experience it was to see the team come together like they did.”
The Giants had looked to have no hope of even competing for the National Football League title after enduring a four-game skid late in the regular season that put them in danger of missing the playoffs. They needed to win their last two games to make the playoffs but their fairytale captivated New York City and Mayor Michael Bloomberg immediately announced the team would be honored with a ticker-tape parade on Tuesday.
For the Patriots, a second loss to their fierce New York rivals was unpalatable.”You don’t feel good after you lose this game,” said New England head coach Bill Belichick. “It was wild out there. Hey, it’s the Super Bowl. “I can’t fault the effort of any of our players. They played as hard as they could … We could have played a tiny bit better. It was obviously a very competitive football game.”
With the memories of their last Super Bowl still fresh, Sunday’s game was the Patriots’ chance to avenge their shock loss from four years ago but once again they were denied in the cruelest fashion. It was a game that lived up to all the hype and expectation as the two teams slugged it out in front of a crowd of nearly 70,000 people and an expected record television audience.
Brady threw a Super Bowl record 16 consecutive completions and, when he connected with Aaron Hernandez for a touchdown in the third quarter, the Patriots looked headed for sure victory. But the Giants once again found way to come back. Lawrence Tynes kicked two field goals then Manning mounted an 88-yard drive, that included a spectacular catch from Mario Manningham, before Bradshaw scored the winning touchdown with just 57 seconds left on the clock.
“You have to give the Giants credit, they are a very good football team,” said Brady. “They put a lot of pressure on us, we just came up a little bit short. “Every guy in the locker room wishes he could have done a little bit more and maybe the outcome would have been a little bit different.”
AND Speaking of Tom Brady, his beautiful Brazilian supermodel wife had a few choice words for NY GIANTS fans! LOL
After Brady’s team, the New England Patriots, lost the Super Bowl to the New York Giants 21-17 on Sunday in a nerve-wracking fourth quarter, while Bundchen was waiting for the elevator to leave the VIP suites at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, she blamed the loss on the team’s receivers and tossed an F-bomb on video, saying, “My husband cannot f—ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

During her speech, she thanked Meryl Streep and Cicely Tyson for inspiring her.
What a Picture! Woo! lol The Help actress Octavia Spencer also took home the trophy for Best Supporting Actress. During her acceptance speech, she offered up a nod of acknowledgment to Civil Rights activist Medgar Evers.
Also, the cast of The Help won for Best Cast In A Motion Picture.

I am sure there are plenty of major bets going around this coming weekend with the Superbowl, but the largest and most ridiculous bet has been made by none other than 50 Cent! Recently, not only did he challenge record producer Birdman to a $1 million bet for the New York Giants to beat out the New England Patriots , but he also said that IF the Giants LOSE, he will tweet a NUDE PHOTO of himself (including the waist down) for the world to see!
Mmmm mmmm Mmmm …may the BEST team WIN, but if they lose …well hey! I’ll still have some kind of smile on my face while I’m “blue” about the loss! ::Wink:: lol

Both Chrissy and Kimbella are Pregnant!!!! Well for now…Chrissy’s pregnancy is just a rumor, but Kimbella made it very clear in the Season Finale of Love & Hip Hop! Check out the video below and a picture of her recently (supposedly the picture is of her at least 2 to 3 months preggers, but you be the judge) She basically looks like a thinner Kim K in the pic! Also, peep how she says in the video that her and Juelz Santana are not in the “right place” but she’s uber excited that she is pregnant by him! Where is this chic’s priorities for real? **Misguided** She will live and she will learn I guess…. ::sighs::
And as for Chrissy’s supposed pregnancy, according to a person close to Chrissy, she is ”definitely” PREGNANT!! (Only time will tell really!)
The source continues to say that the 44-year old Chrissy and Jim had been TRYING for many years to get pregnant. The insider explained, “Jim and [Chrissy] had basically given up . . . they were like if it happens, it happens.”

A New York woman has accused broadcast journalist Greg Kelly of sexually assaulting her last October.
Kelly, 43, co-host of the morning TV show “Good Day New York” on the Fox affiliate WNYW-TV and the son of New York Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly, is cooperating with the investigation and denies any wrongdoing of any kind, The Associated Press reported.
The woman, who is in her late 20s or early 30s, made the complaint on Tuesday at the 13th Precinct station house. The reason why she waited several months to come forward is unclear.
According to The New York Times, the woman claims to have met Kelly on the street on Oct. 8. They went for drinks at the South Street Seaport then proceeded to the Lower Manhattan law office where she works. The alleged assault occurred there, she said.
The pair remained in contact by phone and text message after the incident.
When the accuser’s boyfriend learned about the encounter, he reportedly approached Commissioner Kelly at a public event and accused his son of ruining the woman’s life. The commissioner suggested he write a letter, The New York Post reported. It is unknown if the boyfriend did so.
Due to Kelly’s relationship with the police commissioner, the New York County District Attorney’s office is conducting the investigation.
“We know that the District Attorney’s investigation will prove Mr. Kelly’s innocence,” attorney Andrew Lankler said in an e-mailed statement.
Kelly joined Fox News Channel in 2002 and was the White House correspondent from 2005 to 2007. A Marine Corps veteran and lieutenant colonel in the reserves, he also covered the Iraq War and the September 11 terror attacks.

Ummmm So Ms. “mysterious New York woman” …why they hell did you still keep in contact with your “rapist” …It almost looks as though it only became ‘rape’ after her boyfriend found out and the boyfriend is probably mad that they hooked up and wants a payday out of the whole thing! Sad the great lengths people are willing to go to these days! Hope this isn’t true, but if it is …then REALLY GREG? Do you know who your daddy is? LOL It’s 10 o’clock …do you know where Greg Kelly is?
