DAMMIT! I was a week off from stopping this dude from ruining his life while I was staying at the Excalibur in Vegas for my birthday weekend! Well maybe….Here’s how it all went down!

Scott Storch, the famed hip-hop producer who suffers from a history of drug abuse, was arrested in Vegas earlier this month for possession of cocaine

According to TMZ, Las Vegas police arrested Storch at his hotel around 8:30 AM on Feb. 4th

As reported by TMZ.com

Storch was popped when an employee called police to complain that Storch wouldn’t pay for his room.

When cops arrived to the scene, we’re told officers discovered Storch was in possession of cocaine. Storch was hauled to a nearby police station … where he was released on $5k bond.

Damn shame …everyone should learn something from the death of Whitney Houston, although this incident occurred a week before her death, let’s keep spreading and encouraging the importance of saying NO to DRUGS! Especially since Mr. Storch was actually in rehab trying to get over his addiction, it is still a long road ahead of him! Let’s pray for his recovery!

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jionni LaValle are getting married, according to several internet reports.

Snooki’s man allegedly popped the question on Valentine’s Day, which is either very romantic or very cliche, depending on how you look at it.

According to PR company The Hip Event, a text message “from a very close source of the future groom” announced the news.

In January Snooki told Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show,” “I’m still waiting for that ring, I swear to God. I’ve been telling him this for months now!’

The 24-year-old added, “He has until 26 to ask me.”

HAHAHHAHAHAH! Sounds like something Snooki would say! Only time will tell! Stay tuned! Congrats to the cute lil’ munchkin! Everyone deserves some love..even snooki!

Rest In Peace Whitney Houston: Tributes, Updates, and More…

The radio and music industry was stunned by the news of WHITNEY HOUSTON’s passing SATURDAY 2/11. The latest details, as reported by CNN are “Authorities were called to HOUSTON’s hotel room at 3:43p SATURDAY after her bodyguard found her unconscious. HOUSTON was found in the room’s bathtub, a coroner’s spokesman confirmed. He would not confirm or deny a report by the entertainment news website TMZ that pill bottles were found at the scene. Someone in her entourage removed her from the tub and attempted CPR, the spokesman said. HOUSTON was pronounced dead at 3:55p.

HOUSTON’s passing was especially hard on CLIVE DAVIS, who was her mentor, and longtime friend. DAVIS dedicated his pre-GRAMMY party to WHITNEY. MTV.COM quoted a visibly shaken DAVIS speaking of HOUSTON, “By now, sadly, we’ve all learned of the unspeakable [tragedy] of our beloved WHITNEY’s passing. I don’t have to mask my emotions, not in front of this room filled with so many dear friends. I am personally devastated. WHITNEY was so full of life … she was a beautiful person with talent beyond compare. She graced the stage with a regal presence … and her family asked that the show go on.”

SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT issued this statement: “WHITNEY HOUSTON was an icon and a once-in-a-lifetime talent who inspired a generation of singers and brought joy to millions of fans around the world. She had a voice of unmatched beauty and power that changed music forever, and she leaves behind an indelible legacy of timeless songs that will never be forgotten. She also was an important member of the SONY MUSIC family who spent her storied recording career with ARISTA RECORDS. She will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences go out to her daughter and her entire family.”

Updates:

Amid reports that his daughter had been rushed to the hospital with panic attacks (and “maybe” her own suicide attempt), Bobby Brown and his fiance Alicia Etheridge arrived to a hectic scene at LAX yesterday. See the pics inside and get deets on what’s happening with the case and with Bobbi Kris.

Bobby Brown was met with chaos at LAX yesterday as he arrived after cancelling his show with New Edition in Nashville. He flew back to Los Angeles to be with his daughter Bobbi Kristina (who has been distraught since her mom’s passing).

Bobby and Alicia (their son was also with them) were picked up by singer and friend Macy Gray in a stretch Maybach. Hopefully being with her father with provide Bobbi Kris with the support she needs.

Meanwhile, other details have emerged in the Whitney Houston investigation as well.

Sources report that Bobbi Kristina almost drowned in the same bathtub her mom was found in the day before.
Bobbi Kris has been hospitalized twice since her mom’s passing and family fears she could be suicidal. They are considering seeking help.
Though water was found in Whitney’s lungs, it was not enough (drowning) to be the sole cause of death.
L.A. County Coroner officials told the family the singer appears to have died from a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol. Autopsy is complete but official COD will not be released until toxicology reports are complete.

Bobbi Kris Inside Story:

Bobbi Kris Brown, 18, was taken on a stretcher out of the Beverly Hills Hilton, the same hotel her mother died in on Saturday and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday, Fox News confirms.

It was Brown’s second visit to the hospital since her mother died, People.com reported. The first time was late Saturday night when a source told the website she was “having a complete breakdown.” They further reported “[Bobbi Kristina] was screaming, ‘What’s wrong with her? What’s wrong with her?”

Sources say, She went back to the hospital for the same thing [on Sunday] stress and anxiety,” adding that Brown was then released.

Bobbi Kristina is Whitney’s only child from husband Bobby Brown. Houston was at a Hollywood club with her daughter on Thursday night, and went on stage to sing “Yes, Jesus Loves Me” with singer Kelly Price. It turned out to be Houston’s last public performance.

Earlier Sunday, Us Weekly quoted a source as saying, “Bobbi was always by [Houston's] side in everything she did … She was really her mom’s caretaker and biggest cheerleader and biggest fan … I don’t know how she will be able to go on.”

I met her when she was 16. It was at a summer job. I was working at a community center in East Orange, New Jersey, and she was working just like the rest of us. She was there to work. She introduced herself as “Whitney Elizabeth Houston,” and I knew right away she was special. Not a lot of people introduced themselves with their middle names back then. She had peachy colored skin and she didn’t look like anyone I’d ever met in East Orange, New Jersey.

She was nothing like the Whitney Houston she became but at the same time she was already there. She knew, and so did everyone around her. She was doing shows in Manhattan with her mother, and she’d change her clothes in the car and get on stage and do her thing. She hadn’t signed her contract yet. But she was modeling for Wilhelmina because she was discovered on the street. She was walking in front of Carnegie Hall and someone walked up to her and said, “There’s a modeling agency upstairs that’s looking for someone just like you.” She walked upstairs and they signed her. That’s what it was like, that’s what she gave off. She looked like an angel. When my mother first met her, she laughed and said, “You look like an angel, but I know you’re not.” And she wasn’t. But she looked like one.

She chose the life she lived, and she chose it from the beginning. She knew the life better than anyone. Her mother was Cissy Houston, and she had been on the road with Dionne Warwick. She got her chops singing in church, and her mother said to her, “You know, you can always sing for free. You can always sing in church. You don’t have to choose the professional life.” But she chose because she’d been chosen. Some people sing just because. She was never like that. She had to put on her gear. She knew it was going to be a job and that’s how she treated it. Once she committed to something, she finished it. Not long after I met her, she said, “Stick with me, and I’ll take you around the world.” She always knew where she was headed.

And we went around the world. I was her assistant and then her executive assistant and then her creative director. I was her point person for the day-to-day. I traveled all around the world first-class and anyone who ever worked for her will tell you her checks never bounced. You knew she was going to take care of you. She wasn’t going to be in a five-star hotel while you were in a two. I flew the Concorde the way some people ride the bus. She shared the fruits, and she changed a lot of lives. The record company, the band members, her family, her friends, me — she fed everybody. Deep down inside that’s what made her tired.

It was never easy. She never left anything undone. But it was hard. The Bodyguard was great when it was done, but it was a lot of work. She did the movie, she did the music, she did everything — and when she was done, she was done. She nailed it. The music supervisor brought her Linda Ronstadt’s version of “I Will Always Love You” way before Kevin Costner brought Dolly Parton’s version — and she always knew what she could do with it. So when Kevin came in and played it for her and told her he wanted her to sing it for the movie, she said, “Fine.” She wasn’t much for showing off what she had, except when she had to.

I always compare her performance of that song with a great athlete hitting his peak — with Michael Jordan in the playoffs. It was the absolute pinnacle of what she could do, of what anyone could do — and then she had to keep on doing it. Everybody wanted to hear her sing that song, and so she sang it. It didn’t matter whether she had a cold, or wasn’t in good voice; she had to deliver it, and she had it arranged so she could deliver every last note. And even if the note wasn’t there, the feeling was. A lot of her songs were like that. They were a lot to deliver, but she delivered them every note, every time.

It’s so strange that she died when she did. February was her month. Her first album was released on Valentine’s Day, right around the time of the Grammys, right around the time of Clive Davis’s party. It was an orchestrated thing. She was Clive’s girl, his great discovery. And she died right before Valentine’s Day, right before the Grammys, right before Clive’s party. Of course, she was going. I don’t know if she was singing, I don’t know what kind of pressure she was putting on herself. But she was going, that’s for damned sure.

People thought they had to protect her. She hated that. And that’s what people don’t understand: She was always the one doing the driving. Someone just called and told me that the family kept Whitney from seeing her. Nobody kept Whitney from doing anything. She did what she wanted to do. When people left her or were told to leave, they could never believe that Whitney would never call them — but she never did. She was working hard to keep herself together, and I think she felt that if she admitted any feeling of sadness or weakness she would crumble. One time, back when we were young, we were out, we were partying, and I said, “Listen, I have to go. I’m tired. I can’t make it.” And she looked at me with her eyes wide and said, “I’ve got to make it.”

And that was Whitney. She could not pick up the phone, and that meant it was too painful. I have never spoken about her until now. And she knew I wouldn’t. She was a loyal friend, and she knew I was never going to be disloyal to her. I was never going to betray her. Now I can’t believe that I’m never going to hug her or hear her laughter again. I loved her laughter, and that’s what I miss most, that’s what I miss already.

I’m trying not to think of the end. I’m trying not to listen to all the reports. All these people talking about drugs — well, a lot of people take drugs, and they’re still around. Whitney isn’t, because you never know the way the wind blows. I just hope that she wasn’t in pain and that she hadn’t lost hope. She gave so much to so many people; I hope that she felt loved in return. She was the action, for such a long time. She’s out of the action now. I hope she can finally rest.

Mad cuz we stylin’ on you—> NY GIANTS Super Bowl Victory Parade

As many as one million people were expected to line the financial district’s Canyon of Heroes for the N.Y. Giants Super Bowl Victory Parade.

The parade kicked off at Battery Place and Washington Street and continued northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. The parade was to be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, at which Mayor Michael Bloomberg was to present the New York Giants with Keys to the City.

The Giants were showered with at least 30 tons of manufactured confetti from skyscrapers lining Broadway.

On Monday, 250 fans nabbed pairs of tickets to the festivities at City Hall. About 50,000 people entered sweepstakes for a place at the ceremony. The sidewalks lining Tuesday’s ticker-tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes were packed. A large screen was set up near City Hall Park for members of the public to watch the official ceremony.

The last ticker-tape parade through New York was in Nov. 2009 after the New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games for their 27th World Series title.

Update on Actress Maia Campbell

At the height of her professional career, Maia Campbell was a beautiful TV star who had a featured role on the LL Cool J show, “In the House.” Today, Maia is schizophrenic; a fact that brought her late mother Bebe Moore Campbell and her father and step-father much anguish. Maia is a schizophrenic who won’t take her meds.

Earlier this year, Campbell first made the news when she was caught on camera singing incoherently and revealing her breasts. Rumors started spreading around that she was on drugs. Later, she appeared in another video where she was again high and spoke about being a prostitute. The clip also included her telling a man that she would receive a beating “if her real man saw this.”

Maia is now speaking out about what she was and still is struggling with. Check out excerpts from her interview on a BlogTalk Radio show below:

What’s going on in her life.

I’ve been sober for two years, and a lot of people can’t say that. I’m timid, shy and broken a little bit by some of the responses [online], but then again so much support from the people saying “No! She’s none of that.” Real friends stepping up … And just showing me who the real people were in my life. It helped me find myself and find out that there’s a real true artist inside of me–that no matter what obstacles may come, he’s not going to let you fall, and he’s not going to let you down.

I started ministering to myself and looking at my heart … Finding my voice … And it just made me stronger. If it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger. Like Drake says, “It’s far from over…” I listened to the music that people were making, and it kept inspiring me. I started making music, and I just stepped out on a limb. My mom died … So much has happened. I miss people in my life. I miss LL [Cool J]. Debbie Allen came back to the community … And for once so many miracles. I swear so many miracles!

On the state of her career and the youtube videos that surfaced:
I went on to do movies, and nobody talked about it, and that hurt me. I did a movie called ‘Rim Shop’ after Katrina had happened in New Orleans. We went down there, and that place looked a mess, seriously. We shot a film out there just to help those people, to bring revenue in and just show our support to their situation. Then, I did a gospel kind of Tyler Perry play called ‘Friends and Lovers’.

I’m trying to reach out to Tyler Perry about one of the mom’s latest novels. She was nominated for a Noble Peace Prize for literature. [It's called 72-Hour Hold] it was a story about her and my relationship, and I wish that Halle Berry would pick it up and read it if you’re listening. I would love for her to play the lead character.

There are so many goals and dreams that God has put in my heart while I’m sitting here sober. And I’m not doing the things I use to do. The way they attacked me on the Internet–it was BS. These guys said they were going to shoot a video for my music. I was trying to work independently–and I’m not saying that I was clear headed to believe them, but I was not doing what the heck they said I was doing. They blasted me with the words they put on the screen and just made everybody look at me another way. And I’m like, “That’s really messed up if anybody believes that!” But a lot of people didn’t. And they knew that and came to my rescue and said, “Let’s just get you all the way right.”

On her future
I went to Spelman, but a lot of HBCUs named a month after my mom for mental health month because she supported the mental health … Her book was about a girl with a bi-polar mental health issues and her relationship with her mom. It was kind of a bougie little girl that was prive to every freakin’ thing, raised up in The Hills and just had it like that. Nobody took the time to deal with her psychologically. And that’s what ’72-Hour Hold’ is about. That’s the next project that I want to basically get out to producers and Tyler Perry to see if anybody is interested in pushing it.

I want to attach myself to anything-–reality shows, movies–but positive characters. I don’t want to play the crazy girl like, ”Craig, Craig let me borrow your VCR!” It’s too much of that in life, and we got kids out there … I wish they would take that type of stuff off the Internet because the kids have to go to school and deal with reality of that, and it makes it hard for them to learn.

On her background and family
I went to school in LA. I was born in D.C. I have a little girl–She has a video out right now. She just turned 11. She just did an India Arie video. It’s on YouTube, check it out it’s called “Heaven.” It’s real emotional and really sweet. She’s acting in it, and it’s a real touchy video. Somebody I went to school with at Spelman directed and put it together. We actually had her and one of my former acting friends Kareem Barnes–from a TV show called “South Central”–he played the father. It was kind of an interesting piece about being bi-racial.

On the book she’s working on called ‘Sagittarius’
I’m terrified. We just got to the process where we’re ready to release. Most of it is a sweet little memoir about … My mother has put out about 10 books, so I should be a veteran because I’ve watched my mom put out book after book with no problem. There’s just something about this industry, and I don’t want to make more enemies than friends. I know there’s a code, and you need to keep most of these things … You just don’t … I don’t know. I just don’t know. I don’t know if I’m ready to put this book out.

I know my life is an open book. I know people know everything or think they know things about me and already made assumptions behind what they’ve heard and what not.

I have a portion of it that definitely inspires. It definitely comes of age and it focuses on inspiration. It focuses on the learning, it focuses on the story telling and it focuses on that I’m a product of my behavior. I’m a child of God and a product of my intelligence and life. And my life is not just rolling along doing what people tell me to do. I make intelligent choices, and [contrary] to popular belief, this is a statement of God’s hand in my life. So in theory that’s what any author hopes to say to his audience. I just hope somebody gets that. I don’t want people to pinpoint one page and say, “Oh, no she didn’t.” Then it becomes someone feeding into something–like the YouTube thing. That wasn’t even what it was supposed to be. That was a trip that went all wrong, and I spent all this time trying to recover. That’s another thing … You have to be careful with what we choose to say to the public.

On working on ‘In the House’ with LL Cool J and Debbie Allen
It was a growing experience. It was a very nurturing growing experience. It was almost like being one of the Cosby kids. For me it was like –-there were moments, for example, when Debbie Allen used to take me under her wing. Her and Norm Nixon used to take me to the theater in their Rolls Royce or their Bentley, and we would eat at Mr. Chow’s. It was fabulous. She taught me so many things about networking. I learned from a queen about networking. She would take me out with all her investors who would be old farts. It was great and she taught me a lot. She took me to the ballet.

Then, Todd [LL Cool J] of course we would be on a ship going to Mexico overlooking the ocean and he would say some of the most prolific things while they were setting up the lighting and cameras on us.

A lot of things that they said I will never forget. These are the people that shaped my life and young mind as an actress. I can’t reach out and touch them anymore, but in my mind I can sometimes go to places where it comforts me to know that I was once in the same room with these people. I know they live lives that people dreamed of. They reached their dreams, and that’s a good thing for some people–and to do it it safely and not have any drawbacks … I saw him [LL Cool J] on the Hip Hop Awards, and he still has the same mind in tact. One thing my grandmother says, “To reach the top and still have your mind in tact…”

The New York Giants reclaimed the greatest prize in North American sports with a nail-biting 21-17 Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Inspired by their dynamic quarterback Eli Manning, the Giants erased an eight-point third-quarter deficit to steal the victory with a last-minute touchdown from Ahmad Bradshaw in a stunning repeat of their last Super Bowl win, also against the Patriots, four years ago.

“The greatest feeling in professional sports is to win the Super Bowl,” said New York’s Tom Coughlin, who at 65 became the oldest National Football League coach to win a Super Bowl. “What a wonderful experience it was to see the team come together like they did.”

The Giants had looked to have no hope of even competing for the National Football League title after enduring a four-game skid late in the regular season that put them in danger of missing the playoffs. They needed to win their last two games to make the playoffs but their fairytale captivated New York City and Mayor Michael Bloomberg immediately announced the team would be honored with a ticker-tape parade on Tuesday.

For the Patriots, a second loss to their fierce New York rivals was unpalatable.”You don’t feel good after you lose this game,” said New England head coach Bill Belichick. “It was wild out there. Hey, it’s the Super Bowl. “I can’t fault the effort of any of our players. They played as hard as they could … We could have played a tiny bit better. It was obviously a very competitive football game.”

With the memories of their last Super Bowl still fresh, Sunday’s game was the Patriots’ chance to avenge their shock loss from four years ago but once again they were denied in the cruelest fashion. It was a game that lived up to all the hype and expectation as the two teams slugged it out in front of a crowd of nearly 70,000 people and an expected record television audience.

Brady threw a Super Bowl record 16 consecutive completions and, when he connected with Aaron Hernandez for a touchdown in the third quarter, the Patriots looked headed for sure victory. But the Giants once again found way to come back. Lawrence Tynes kicked two field goals then Manning mounted an 88-yard drive, that included a spectacular catch from Mario Manningham, before Bradshaw scored the winning touchdown with just 57 seconds left on the clock.

“You have to give the Giants credit, they are a very good football team,” said Brady. “They put a lot of pressure on us, we just came up a little bit short. “Every guy in the locker room wishes he could have done a little bit more and maybe the outcome would have been a little bit different.”

AND Speaking of Tom Brady, his beautiful Brazilian supermodel wife had a few choice words for NY GIANTS fans! LOL

After Brady’s team, the New England Patriots, lost the Super Bowl to the New York Giants 21-17 on Sunday in a nerve-wracking fourth quarter, while Bundchen was waiting for the elevator to leave the VIP suites at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, she blamed the loss on the team’s receivers and tossed an F-bomb on video, saying, “My husband cannot f—ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
